Background

🎓 Business Administration - Marketing Advanced Diploma | George Brown College (Sep 2015 - Mar 2019)


I started studying marketing at George Brown College in 2015, where I was provided with opportunities for case studies as well as real-world projects that involved industry partners. Here, I learned how to:


  • Develop an integrated marketing communication strategy based on objectives, target market and budgetary considerations. 
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to make marketing decisions.
  • Evaluate the viability of marketing products, concepts, goods or services in an international market or markets.
  • Integrate digital marketing and social media into a marketing plan with an understanding of various platforms and technologies.


👩‍💻 Sponsorship Assistant | City of Toronto (2017)


While in college, I completed a co-op term as a Sponsorship Assistant in the City of Toronto's Economic Development and Culture office. Here, I worked directly with the business growth and cultural development teams as we engaged with and reported to corporate sponsors. Projects I specifically worked on include Nuit Blanche, Cavalcade of Lights, New Year's Eve and Doors Open Toronto. 


🎓 Digital Strategy & Communication Management Certificate | University of Toronto (Jun 2020 - Mar 2021)


During the pandemic lockdowns, I decided to expand my knowledge with a focus on digital marketing. At U of T, I learned how to:


  • Develop creative, measurable and relevant digital and social media plans and strategies.
  • Utilize social media and digital channels to engage customers, employees, and business partners.
  • Create digital communities for customers, improve relationships, and facilitate a culture of trust.
  • Identify emerging issues and strategically manage real-time crises.


👩‍💻 Post-Studies Work Experience (2021 - Present)


While completing school, I had amassed over a decade of experience in the bar and restaurant industry - so it was a natural transition into marketing for hospitality businesses. I started working with friends and co-workers, and reached out to others in my community with common values as they built brands and expanded businesses. These relationships have been pinnacle to my business to this day!
